Set up the connection

  1. In Strava, open Settings → Manage apps and devices → Health Connect.
  2. Connect Strava and allow it to write activity data.
  3. Allow Zone Training Log to read exercise sessions and heart rate in Health Connect.

What to expect

Limited. Expect basic workout metadata; do not expect Strava alone to provide the detailed heart-rate stream Zone Training Log needs.

Important limitations

  • Strava documents writing activity time, distance, and calories to Health Connect, but not detailed heart-rate records.
  • A visible workout can therefore still have no zone analysis.

Verify the data before opening Zone Training Log

  1. In Health Connect, inspect Activity → Exercise sessions and confirm Strava as the source.
  2. Check Vitals → Heart rate for another source writing readings during the activity.

Troubleshooting

  • Reconnect Strava only if the exercise session itself is absent.
  • For zones, connect the original watch or recording app to Health Connect when it supports detailed heart rate.
