Set up the connection

  1. Sync the completed activity to Garmin Connect.
  2. In Garmin Connect, open Settings → Health Connect and enable the available write permissions.
  3. Allow Zone Training Log to read exercise sessions and heart rate in Health Connect.

What to expect

Supported, but data-type completeness is controlled by Garmin Connect. A workout can be present even when some detail needed for zones is missing.

Important limitations

  • Only data types Garmin lists for Health Connect are transferred.
  • Historical or activity details can differ from what you see inside Garmin Connect; verify heart-rate samples for your device and activity type.

Verify the data before opening Zone Training Log

  1. Open Health Connect → Data and access → Activity → Exercise sessions and confirm Garmin Connect is the source.
  2. Check Vitals → Heart rate for samples during the workout.

Troubleshooting

  • Complete the watch-to-Garmin Connect sync first, then allow time for Health Connect.
  • Review both Garmin Connect’s write access and Zone Training Log’s read access.
