Set up the connection

  1. Sync the workout from the Polar device to Polar Flow.
  2. In Polar Flow, open General settings and connect Apple Health with training and heart-rate sharing enabled.
  3. Allow Zone Training Log to read workouts and heart rate from Apple Health.

What to expect

Limited. The workout should be visible, but Zone Training Log may not receive the detailed heart-rate samples required for zone analysis.

Important limitations

  • Polar documents average heart rate for training sessions sent to Apple Health.
  • An average value is not sufficient to reconstruct time spent in heart-rate zones.

Verify the data before opening Zone Training Log

  1. Open Apple Health → Activity → Workouts and confirm Polar Flow as the source.
  2. Check Heart → Heart Rate during the workout for multiple time-stamped readings, not only an average.

Troubleshooting

  • Open Polar Flow and complete the device sync before checking Health.
  • If only average heart rate is present, the limitation is upstream and cannot be reconstructed by Zone Training Log.
